Palinuro is a small seaside town in Cilento, Italy, not far from Marina di Camerota and Pisciotta. This 4K walking tour covers the whole town in under 90 minutes, from the main square down to the main beaches.

The town sits inside Cilento National Park, part of the Centola municipality in Salerno province, right along the stretch of Italy’s coast just south of the Amalfi Coast.

It’s one of the more popular bases here, along with Marina di Camerota and Pisciotta, and it works well if you want a hotel close to several different beaches without driving too far each day.

We start at Piazza Virgilio, then walk down the town’s main street toward Ficocella Beach, a Blue Flag beach. Later we head along toward the harbor, stopping at a few quiet beaches along the way.

By the end of the walk, you’ll see why people quietly choose this coast over the Amalfi one! 😌
