Describing it as “one of the largest open-air public exhibitions the city has ever seen,” Moncler will display photographs depicting its brand evolution across communal areas, it announced in a release on Thursday. Moncler’s alpine-inspired design and mountain apparel will be showcased in a series of brand memories which also explore the idea of human connection.
Along with the exhibition, Moncler released a film on Thursday which chronicles “the secret love story between Moncler and New York.” The film features past shows and campaigns which highlight the bond between the label and the metropolis and is narrated by friend of the brand Alicia Keys, also featuring her unreleased new music.
Works on display at Moncler’s exhibition at Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Hall will include snapshots from previous fashion week events in the city such as its ‘Hudson Hike’ at Chelsea Pier in 2010 and immersive forest installation at Gotham Hall in 2013 among others. Celebrities including Spike Lee, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Tobe Nwigwe are also seen wearing ensembles by Moncler in dramatic snaps.
Close to the Grand Central Terminal, Moncler is also gearing up to open its largest-ever global flagship, ‘Moncler Fifth Avenue.’ The new location represents a “new chapter in the love affair,” according to the brand’s press release.
