The Most Famous Mountain in the French Alps. Alpe d’Huez.
This is the story of two amateur and unprepared cyclists who tackle the 21 Switchbacks of Alpe d’Huez. We spent 6 days on the mountain and thoroughly enjoyed everything it offered beyond riding. There is something for everyone during the summer months in the French Alps, and though it is well known as one of the most historic and legendary climbs in Tour de France history, the Alpe has much more to offer. Our stay on Alpe d’huez was at La Residence Phoenix. A gorgeous complex with new apartments, a secure, inground parking garage and a prime location in the village.
