The Barking branch, operated by franchisee Jon Betts, aims to offer a better “customer experience” with its new look.

The overhaul is part of a McDonald’s re-imaging programme, which seeks to provide faster, more efficient service with more options for ordering.

He said: “From its fresh, modern new look to the introduction of separate facilities for dine-in customers and delivery couriers, every change has been made with the customer experience in mind.

“It’s exciting to see the transformation come to life, and I’m confident these improvements will benefit both our customers and our restaurant team by creating a smoother, more enjoyable experience for everyone.”

Despite the changes, walk-in ordering remains central to the restaurant’s service.

However, the redesigned kitchen and dining areas now better accommodate digital sales channels and the McDonald’s app.

The internal space has been optimised to improve the dine-in experience.

The refurbishment has created dedicated areas for different ordering methods and removed the traditional front counter, offering a more efficient ordering process.

The changes are expected to improve the overall dining experience, giving customers more space to enjoy their meals.

The revamped McDonald’s is now welcoming back customers with its improved services.
