Kent train passengers have been advised a number of key stations in and around the county will be closing at times this weekend for planned engineering works. On both Saturday (October 10) and Sunday (October 11), there will be no Southeastern services to or from London Charing Cross and Waterloo East.
This is due to works between Charing Cross and New Cross closing various lines throughout the weekend. While the station closures are in effect, a reduced service will run between London Bridge and London Cannon Street.
Meanwhile on Sunday, trains will be diverted to run to and from London Victoria instead. Further information on how these works will impact travel around the Southeastern network can be found below.
On Sunday only, further works will be taking place between Rochester and Rainham, closing some lines. As such, rail replacement buses will operate between these two Medway stations all day.
Chatham and Gillingham stations will be shut all day and served by these rail replacement buses only. Passengers are also advised no Thameslink trains will run between Gravesend and Rainham on Sunday due to these works.
