From homemade guitar videos to a sold-out concert in Paris, Laura Cox has built a career on her unmistakable playing and a powerful blend of blues rock and hard rock. On November 20, 2026, the French-British guitarist and singer will release her first live album, Trouble Coming to Paris: Live at Le Trianon. Recorded in front of a packed audience in April, the album captures a milestone in her musical journey. Its first single, ‘No Need To Try Harder’, is available now.
From YouTube guitarist to a sold-out Paris show
Long before her name appeared on European rock festival lineups, Laura Cox was sharing guitar performances online. Beginning in 2008, her videos introduced her playing to an international audience and helped establish a following that eventually extended far beyond YouTube.
What started with guitar covers gradually developed into a recording and touring career built around her own material. With an energetic mix of classic rock influences, blues-driven guitar work and a modern hard-rock edge, Cox has developed a sound that appeals to guitar enthusiasts and rock audiences alike.
Her fourth studio album, Trouble Coming, arrived in 2025 and marked another chapter in that evolution. On April 10, 2026, Cox brought those songs to Le Trianon, one of Paris’s established concert venues, for a sold-out performance.
That night now forms the foundation of her first official live album.

One concert, several chapters of a career
Trouble Coming to Paris: Live at Le Trianon draws material from different stages of Cox’s catalog, balancing songs from her latest studio album with established live favorites.
Tracks such as ‘Rise Together’, ‘The Broken’ and ‘Trouble Coming’ sit alongside ‘Bad Luck Blues’, ‘So Long’ and ‘Hard Blues Shot’. The setlist offers listeners a chance to hear how her music has developed over the years, performed on a single stage before an enthusiastic hometown audience.
For Cox, whose reputation was built in part on the strength of her guitar playing, a live release is a natural addition to her catalog. Rather than revisiting her songs in another studio setting, this recording presents the concert versions that audiences have come to know through her touring career.
