VIP wine tour in Bordeaux! 🍷🇫🇷 Saint-Émilion & Pomerol with @ContextTravel

Could wine tours get any better than this? 🍷🇫🇷 Lately, while in France, I squeezed in a VIP wine tour of Bordeaux wine region, specifically focused on Saint-Émilion and Pomerol, with @contexttravel. It was the best decision ever. A whole day of wine, vineyards, conversations, guided by my very own private local sommelier and touring around medieval France. This was an unforgettable experience. ❤️

The real highlight was my guide Elodie, who is an authentic gem, you can tell someone really loves what they do, her energy and passion just shines through. She’s a sommelier, also a culinary and gourmet expert, and she’s from Saint-Émilion herself, with a wine connection that’s rooted from her grandparents. I couldn’t be any luckier to get to spend a whole day with her, which felt like I was in the company of a friend!

I learned so much about Bordeaux wines, the various appellations, the grape varieties here, the deep stories from the two historic vineyards we visited, the wines we tasted, emblematic of the region. I also really loved the comparative wine tasting, which really broadened my perspective of Bordeaux, and the diversity of wines produced here, from small producers to very high-end classifications.

I’m a huge Context Travel fan, and I’m so grateful to experience this outstanding wine tour in Bordeaux. 🍷
