In this vlog I look at some of the latest Philippines international travel updates and news. The country has been closed to international tourism since March. It does look like the Philippines will reopen for international tourists until the 2nd half of 2021. The Department of Tourism has been pushing “Going Local” to revive the tourism industry in the Philippines. The industry has been devastated 9 months of lockdown due to COVID-19. So I took a look at Jpark Resort in Mactan, which I visited a few months ago and returned in December. I was able to see if the domestic tourism industry in the Philippines is surviving or not. Jpark is one of the biggest resorts in the Philippines and normally a popular resort partially with the South Korean tourists. How has it survived without Korean tourists? The Philippines has not yet opened to international tourists. There is lots of talk when it will and you will need one of these vaccine travel passports to enter the Philippines. When will the vaccine be available here? The Pfizer vaccine in the Philippines looks like the 2nd quarter of 2021. I also look at updates with Boracay and Bohol. Lots of Philippine travel news in the video.
