We bought Bertie the RV off Ebay for £4k GBP, he was not in the best state when we got him and it took us 18 month to completely rebuild. It has been a labour of love, putting our blood, sweat and sometimes tears into this renovation. Over the last 6 years, both Shaun and I have renovated three properties and I think it’s safe to say the RV has been the most challenging to do. The intricacies of making a small space work as a full time home for a four person family has been interesting to say the least. We have successfully downsized from a very large 3 bedroom London semi – detached house into this RV and have been loving our life in it with our children over the last 7 months.
All we need to happen now is for this global pandemic to end and hopefully set off safe, healthy and happy on our journey through Europe, Central Asia and South East Asia.

Our intention has always been to drive as far as we can by land from London, UK to Auckland, New Zealand. Bertie’s final home will hopefully be in New Zealand. Considering he was made in America, imported to the UK some two decades ago and now he will hopefully transport us around the world, he is one well travelled vehicle.
