This our Tokyo DisneySea Tour (東京ディズニーシー). DisneySea is a theme park located at the Tokyo Disney Resort in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, Japan which literally just outside Tokyo, but it doesn’t feel like you ever quite leave the city. We start our day by walking clock-wise through the Mediterranean Harbor to get fast-pass for the two must-do rides at DisneySea: the Tower of Terror and Toy Story Mania. Toy Story Mania fast pass was already done when we went, which was a bummer.

The DisneySea Park is meant to done at a leisurely pace – there are lots of things to see and experience such as lots of food and many character meets – we meet Marie the Cat, Thumper, Chip & Dale and the Genie.

We then walked through American Waterfront where we saw the SS Columbia ship, a recreation of a 20th-century steam-powered ocean liner. We then visited the recreation of Cape Cod, the home of Duffy the Bear, who is extremely popular at DisneySea, and in Japan in general – like Mickey of Disneyland and Disney World.

We then went to Port Discovery where we visited Aquatopia. Afterward, we walk through the Lost River Delta to Mermaid Lagoon where we go ride on Jumpin’ Jellyfish and The Whirlpool – not the most exciting rides, overall, but the Mermaid Lagoon provided a much-needed respite from the heavy Tokyo sun.

The exterior looks like the Palace of King Triton and showcases dreamy seashell-inspired architecture. This port of call is because it’s pretty much all indoors and attempts to recreate the feeling of being underwater. We also attended the Little Mermaid Ariel show but were not to capture on video.

We made our way to Mysterious Island, which is a recreation from Jules Verne’s novel of the same name and is also Captain Nemo’s lair. It’s otherwise known as Vulcania Island and was featured on the Disney movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Lastly, we went to explore the Arabian Coast, which is an area that recreates an Arabian harbor and combines the universe of Aladdin with the world from the 1001 Arabian Nights. Here we went on the Caravan Carousel, Ava met the Genie and ate some delicious Churros.

PLEASE NOTE: We said Discovery Island in the video, but we meant Port Discovery!

About us: We are Daniel, Robyn, Ava, Rose, and Ella, and together we are The Go To Family. We love to travel! We also love food, exploring historical sites and, of course, doing loads of fun things together as a family. In my videos, you will see me and Robyn tackle every obstacle that traveling with kids throws at us. We do traveling almost exactly the same way as we did before having kids, it just takes a little bit more planning. But it’s even more fun and rewarding to be able to show them new cultures and live new experiences with them at the same time! Our mission is to inspire other Millennials to travel with kids.

Our 7-year-old daughter, Ava, also has her own YouTube channel. Feel free to check it out right here:

We also really enjoy posting to Instagram, you can check out our channels here:
