Lviv Christmas market is open this year! I decided to visit one afternoon to enjoy some traditional European Christmas market vibes – not to mention the food and drink.

The city of Lviv in western Ukraine actually has two different Christmas markets; one is on Svobody by the opera house (shown in this video) and the other is smaller and by Rynok Square near town hall.

The idea of a Christmas market is something so intrinsically European I was worried they were going to cancel it this year. Fortunately it is still being put on, so I was able to get all my favorite treats like Glintvein (mulled wine), grilled meats, and chimney cakes!

If you have never traveled to Ukraine or want to travel to Lviv, Ukraine in the future then I have a ton of great tips on my blog:
