This video Dubai Shopping Festival Drone Light show at Bluewaters Island and The Beach opposite JBR.
The Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) is a once-a-year event that combines amazing shopping deals with live entertainment.
The festival, which runs for 45 days, from December 17th to January 30th includes a set of 300 drones that perform light and sound shows in Dubai every day, and is set to be one of the longest of its kind in the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
The drones usually over the sky above The Beach opposite JBR, Bluewaters and the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort, with two free-to-watch delightful themed daily shows, adding a distinguishing array of bright colours and sights to an already impressive coastline.
Held at 7.00pm, the first show, known as ‘Dubai, A City of Adventure,’ showcases the activities available in Dubai as two local characters Modesh and Dana explore all the offerings in the city. It aims to spotlight the city as a must-see destination.
The second show at 9.30pm, called ‘Dubai, From the Past to the Present’, highlights Dubai’s growth/evolution from the past while also revealing its future plans.
The show starts with the drones taking-off from the beach and lighting up. The lights then turn off to allow the drones to get into formation. First, what looks to be a shopping bag is displayed, then various breath-taking architectural symbols and scenes from around the city.
This is something you’ll have to see to believe, as technology and art come together to create something truly unique. The perfectly choreographed devices swiftly transform to create visual representations of landmarks, logos, and even the UAE’s three-finger salute.
I have done both shows plus a view of the same from the footbridge, so make sure to watch till the end as some of these representations are in the second show.
You’ll also get to see Ain Dubai, which translates to and/or is known as The Dubai Eye. I’ll be talking more about it and the whole place in my next video.
