Winery in New Jersey, Beneduce Vineyards 2020 | Fall Activity in New Jersey

Beneduce Vineyards,
a winery in Pittstown, New Jersey. The vineyard was first planted in 2009 and has been opened to the public since 2012. This was my first visit to Beneduce Vineyards, and since we are still dealing with COVID I made sure to do some research before taking the hour-long drive. Their operating hours in which no reservations are accepted, and it is fulfilled at a first come, first serve basis are
Wed: 12-6pm
Thurs: 12-6pm
Friday: 12-8pm
Saturday: 12-4pm
Make sure to arrive early, especially if you are planning to go on a Saturday, I arrived at 1:30 and was lucky enough to get the last table for 2. They do have reservations for their paid entrance events which are every Saturday evening 5-9pm and Sunday afternoon 12-5pm for anyone interested. Also, side note if you have children under 18, they are not permitted entrance for the Saturday evening event.
Aside from this Information I went into the experience knowing nothing. We arrived and were pointed in the direction to park. When parking we noticed the lot right next to the winery is this cool little airport. This area, which has no affiliation with Beneduce, has a little restaurant where you can eat food and I guess watch the little planes take off. It looked extremely cute, but any way I am getting sidetracked. Back to Beneduce, so after we parked, we walked up to the barn looking building and entered. In this building, we walked up to one of their two bars and were presented a list that has the selections of wines to choose from. Currently they do not offer wine tasting. However, I would love to go back and have that experience. They are only selling by the bottle or glass at this time, so we bought a bottle of their 2019 Chardonnay. If you arrive with no wine glasses, like we did, you can purchase them for $3 each and they are yours to take home. They also have a small selection of local cheese, salami, and bread in their Tasting Room. Again, if you come with nothing they will offer you a single paper plate, napkins, and a knife to cut your purchases, but you must return the knife. They also host a rotating schedule of food trucks on Saturdays and Sundays that you can purchase from directly. The Saturday we went was El Molcajete Taco Truck which was rather good considering we brought no other food. You can also bring your own prepared food, just remember to bring your own plates and cutlery. I am not much of a wine person and I was visiting Beneduce more so for the experience; However, both were fantastic.
So here are my last thoughts. Beneduce Vineyards seems very flexible and accommodating to the experience you want. We saw families, groups of friends, and more intimate parties of two. Although the atmosphere varies and does exude a sort of fun it is also very calm and relaxing. Lovely experience overall, and I plan on returning.
