Death is common here on skid row. From tent fires to drug overdoses. Tent Shelters are everywhere on skid row with violence happening at night. Homeless have makeshift cookers and gas stoves and this is one reason for the common fires happening on skid row. People are shot at night here and some homeless are destructive destroying camps at night. I witnessed a tent covered area by the midnight mission used to give meals by day outside and it was destroyed overnight. Meals are still handed out at the mission daily and some people are picky and refuse some meals handed out.
