This week we put Merewether to the test, sailing to the most western island of the Holandeses cays in the San Blas Islands without a working map! Wanting to see more of the amazing archipelago in Panama, we hear the locals talk about a secret spot that was suppose to be next level, so we decide to sail there. The only problem was that our charts that we have been sailing with all from Europe to the Caribbean weren’t accurate… Being on edge the hole time, we came in to the passage seeing reefs only 1-2 meters below the water, where our charts showed 28-30 meters. Traversing though the area we decide to sail to another spot, not willing to put our home at more risk.

Arriving in Chichime, the party island of the San Blas Islands, Kieran spotted waves and decided to go for a surf. Rowing to shore we discovered a sleeping island, we were only five, six boats in the anchorage and the few locals we saw kept to themselves. We did not complain, strolling along side of the water in the afternoon sun, just us two was perfect!
