This video was very unplanned and kind of an impulse lol but it was a message I wanted to share. Not every visit can (or will) be peachy and perfect when you’re in a long distance relationship, especially if you cannot see your s/o often.
But if anything goes wrong, don’t panic! It’s an excellent opportunity to see how your partner responds to issues, no matter how mild or serious. Effectively facing problems together builds more trust and reassurance than going to see that art exhibit or eating that cool meal. If your partner responds well and you can easily solve or work on the problem together, yay!!! If not, then you’ve found something valuable that you may want to work on and strengthen together.
I’m not here to bash having fun!! If your visit feels like a vacation and you and your s/o are happy and smiling and bonding, you’re in a great place!!! But if something should ever go down, stay positive! When you can only see each other every couple weeks/months, everything becomes a learning opportunity!
