It is a London historic walk from Bermondsey Abbey to Guy’s War Memorial with history bits. You can see:

Bermondsey Square

Blue plaque: Bermondsey Abbey. Founded as Priory of the Order of Cluny. Stood here 1082-1538

After the Norman Conquest in 1066, a priory was established here in 1082-9 by monks from a Cluniac monastery in France.

The footings of the south-west tower of the Abbey were revealed in the archaeological investigations of 2006-7.

St. Mary Magdalen Churchyard

The churchyard was used intensively for burials from the 17th to 19th century.
The churchyard was closed by order of Council in 1845,
converted into a public recreation ground and has been a public park since 1882/3.

Bermondsey Street

St Mary Magdalen Bermondsey is an Anglican church.
It is the oldest building in Bermondsey.

St Mary Magdalen dates from 1290 built next to the Priory Church of Bermondsey Abbey dedicated to St Saviour.

The Abbey was built in 1082 and existed until the Dissolution of the Monasteries in 1537.
After which its burial ground was incorporated into that of St Mary Magdalen, which became the parish church.
