This video shares pictures and video of main Tourist Attractions in Laung Prabang, Laos. It is the most famous and popular Tourist Destination In Laos, the video includes:
1. Colonial World Heritage Town of Luang Prabang whic is an outstanding example of the fusion of traditional architecture and Lao urban structures with those built by the European colonial authorities in the 19th and 20th centuries. Its unique, remarkably well-preserved townscape illustrates a key stage in the blending of these two distinct cultural traditions.
2. Mount Phou Si, also written Mount Phu Si, is a 100 m (328 ft) high hill in the centre of the old town of Luang Prabang in Laos. It lies in the heart of the old town peninsula and is bordered on one side by the Mekong River and on the other side by the Nam Khan River. The hill is a local religious site, and houses several Buddhist shrines.
3. National Museum (Former Royal Palace)
The “golden palace”, meant to symbolize the new relationship between Laos and France, was built between 1904 and 1909, just a few years before the kingdom of Luang Prabang was declared a protectorate, and the rest of Laos a colony, of France. The palace design combines the French “beaux arts” style with elements of Lao vernacular architecture, but the building can be said to have been finally completed when king Sisavangvong decided to replace the pinnacle on the roof above the throne room with a new one of a more appropriate Lao design. Beside that, there is a garage of the king inside the Museum ground. There are several of brand: Lincoln continental, Edsel, Citroen, Sea Horse 35 and Jeep. You can see all of the cars are parking there.
4. Wat Xiengthong
This temple is not only the most beautiful in Luang Prabang, but arguably one of the most spectacular temples in the entire country. Built by King Setthatirath around 1560 it is a classic example of Luang Prabang style and features a gracefully sloping roof, glass mosaic mural decoration and gold stenciling. The best time to visit, especially for photography, is in the morning.
5. Wat Visounarath
Founded in 1512 during the reign of King Visounnarath (1501-1520), this temple was a symbol of the Kingdom’s unity. The carved wooden railings for the temple’s windows are reminiscent of the Wat Phou temple in Champasak, in the far South of Laos. Inside of the temple building you can also admire ancient Buddha statues and outside on the grounds is the That Pathoum, also known as That Mak Mo (Watermelon Stupa) because of its shape.
6. Kuang Si Waterfalls
The Kuang Si Falls or Kuang Xi Falls (Lao: ນ້ຳຕົກຕາດ ກວາງຊີ), alternatively known as the Tat Kuang Si Waterfalls, is a three-tiered waterfall about 29 kilometers (18 mi) south of Luang Prabang. The waterfalls are a favorite side trip for tourists in Luang Prabang, and begin in shallow pools atop a steep hillside. These lead to the main fall with a drop of 60 meters (200 ft).
Breathtaking cascades of water make the Kuang Si one of Luang Prabang’s most popular tourist attractions.
