The trend of eco-travel was already on the rise. But in the same way the pandemic has initiated a rapid growth in technology, it has also accelerated the spread and desire to travel sustainably.

Yet, is the luxury industry truly listening to this great behavioural reset?

Despite the pandemic highlighting the impact travel has on the environment, only 14% of travel businesses stated that their CEO is a sustainability activist.

And despite 70.9% of travel businesses stating that sustainability initiatives are critical to success, only 55% have an active sustainability strategy.

If the trend predicts that sustainable travel is, for the generations to come, the new luxury, how can collaboration and positive leadership for transformative change become reality?
