This is an additional condensed slideshow clip to my earlier video of my trip to Karlovy Vary, a renowned spa town in Czech Republic, about an hour drive from Prague which I showcase additional and more photos that I have taken at key attractions I have visited that I didn’t do video recordings. Key reasons why video recordings were not done were due to videography restrictions, lack of time (as some attractions were only photo stops) and also low battery as the powerbanks I brought along were malfunctioning. Nevertheless, I did what I could.
Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad) is in the west Bohemia region of the Czech Republic. Its numerous thermal springs have made it a popular resort since the 19th century. The riverside spa district is home to several colonnades with columned walkways. The modern Hot Spring Colonnade houses the Pramen Vřídlo geyser, which spouts up to 12 meters high.
The town is laid back, quiet and nice, with shops and cafeterias for visitors to shop and dine. Many come here to collect spa water that is said to have health benefits.
And the thing to try is the waffles, razor thin-paper like, but is very tasty and crispy as it is made on the spot upon ordering. You can choose the various flavours and jams to go along with it. Or you can buy those pre-packed ones and bring home where just need to microwave or lightly toast them will be good to serve.
Weather is cooling here as it’s up the mountain and even colder when rain which I have experienced.
After my visit, I headed to Prague where I checked into my hotel (NH Hotel) with a lovely and cosy room before heading out for dinner.
