Day 5- Exploring Japans original capital city of Nara today where we got to hang out with some very demanding deer! Our second major stop today was the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine located in the south of Kyoto. It is known for its thousands of big (and small) red Torii Gates which span over 4 kilometres. We then spent the evening exploring Gion, also known as the Geisha district. Although it can be packed with tourists trying to catch a glimpse of the Geisha, it is a beautiful place with heaps to do and full of great little places to eat!
DAY 5- This morning we left Kyoto and travelled to a town called Fujinomiya located near the base of Mount Fuji. We spent most of the day on a food tour of the town dressed in traditional kimonos and then found our accomodation for the night, a traditional Japanese inn called a Ryokan.
