Fourth stop: Bali, Indonesia

Hotel: Adiwana Resort Jambawan We were here for 5 nights total. We originally picked their new hotel Adiwana Monkey Forest but we were told that they had overbooked and we were given this more expensive hotel instead. This hotel is located in Ubud which is central to Bali as a whole. They have a complimentary breakfast which was more than filling. The service, room, and pool were amazing. We do wish there was a gym though.
Flight: Thai Lion (do NOT recommend) – They charged us for each bag per flight (including connecting) which costed us a total of $140 CAD for 2 bags.

Attractions covered:
1. Cantik Agriculture Coffee Farm
2. Tirta Empul Temple (Holy Spring)
3. Tegallang Rice Terrace + Bali Swing
4. Ubud Palace
5. Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary
6. Nusa Penida Tour – Snorkelling, Kelingking Beach, Broken Beach
7. La Brisa Beach Club
8. Finns Beach Club

Recommendations:
1. Group attractions in Bali according to location. We weren’t able to squeeze in half of our list because each required slightly more than half a day to cover.
2. Ask us about our local driver: Leo/Krishna. He charged a fair rate and he was super friendly.
3. Book a Nusa Penida Tour: the tour did feel rushed and it was a lot of travel tie.
4. There’s plenty of vegan and vegetarian options so take your herbivore friends.
5. Rent a scooter for less than $7CAD per day. I recommend using it for trips less than 30 min and only during the daytime. There are barely any streetlights.
6. Be ready to put on a SARONG (a long cloth to cover your legs) at temples.

Itinerary:
September 4-6 – Singapore 🇸🇬 (
September 6-10 – Phuket, Thailand 🇹🇭 (
September 10-15 – Chiang Mai, Thailand 🇹🇭 (
September 15-20 – Ubud (Bali), Indonesia 🇮🇩
