This is the story of how a stand against extortion led to an assassination attempt in Phuket, Thailand. I interview Noah, who has been in Thailand since the early 90’s and was involved in ecotourism. Noah worked for a company called Sea Canoe who offered luxury tours of Phang Nga Bay, Phuket. A controversy arose between Sea Canoe, its Thai competitors, a company with a monopoly on retrieving birds nests from the island caves of Phang Nga Bay and the National Park Service. This is that story.
