1990s – Rozelle Tram Depot Tour
We were invited to a special gathering of the ‘Rocks Streetcar Association’ in their base at the former Rozelle tram depot.
The aim of the group was to have a heritage tramway in Sydney City, using former Sydney trams.
At the time of our tour, the main depot building was largely the same as when it closed. A number of old Sydney trams, buses, and other vehicles, existed within.
The place is now refurbished as a retail outlet, with one of the trams having returned for display, after undergoing a big restoration in Bendigo.
In part one, we check out the offices and outside the depot.
Part 2 will be mostly inside.
