Ocean Quest Global has announced the founding of a new chapter – Ocean Quest Borneo manage by One Ocean Empire. It will be the arm for Ocean Quest Global to manage and supervise coral rehabilitation projects. Borneo is literally surrounded by six body of water namely South China Sea, Sulu Sea, Celebes Sea, Java Sea, the Karimata Straits, and the Makassar Straits. It is one of the largest islands is Southeast Asia with land mass over seven hundred and forty square kilometers. Its mountainous structure means that weather patterns differ between the east, the west and the south of Borneo. There is 4985 kilometers of coastline which is protected by dense and diverse coral reefs. Despite this wealth and abundance, Borneo is also the center for illegal and destructive fishing. Until today, divers can still hear the distant echo of bombs used to catch fish. As a result, many of its pristine coral reefs are devastated. For this reason, Ocean Quest Global take the initiative to act to protect and rehabilitate the corals in this region.
