Kamikochi is one of the popular tourist destinations of Japan where offers some of Japan’s most spectacular mountain scenery and a variety of hiking trails. It is open from mid/late April until November 15 and close down during the winter season. Sicne Kamikochi cannot be reached by private cars, it is wise that you take advantage of public transportation like buses. Alpico Kotsu operates a variety of routes, connecting Kamikochi with Matsumoto city, Osaka and Kyoto.
