Our tour today takes us to a studio apartment located in a great neighborhood near the canal Saint Martin, in the 10th district of Paris. This apartment is located on the 11th floor (12th floor US) of an elevator building. Upon entering the apartment, you will find the main living area. To the left is the American style kitchen. This fully equipped kitchen has everything you will need to prepare meals during your stay in Paris. The furnished living area is equipped with double size bed and a TV. Wifi internet access is also available throughout the apartment.
The balcony offers a magnificent view of the Paris rooftops, as well as some of Paris’ most famous attractions, such as the George Pompidou Center and the Eiffel Tower.
Near the entryway is the bathroom. This tiled bathroom is equipped with a bathtub and shower. You will also find a washing machine at your disposal. Now that we have seen this great studio apartment, let’s go see what the neighborhood has to offer!
Constructed between 1802 –1825 to help with the overflow of boat traffic from the Seine, the canal Saint Martin today is a popular attraction for Parisians and tourists alike. Here you can watch the barges navigate through the many locks and bridges while relaxing at one of the many cafés along its banks. Built under the Second Empire, the church Saint-Martin des Champs remains today a place of prayer. Be sure to head inside where you can admire its beautiful interior. La place de la République is a large square in Paris where the 3rd, 10th, and 11th districts meet. Located in the center of the square is a large bronze statue of Marianne.
