The world that we know in the West is changing and at a rapid pace. It has already change, but most of us have not realised it yet. The Unipolar world that we have grown up with and have come to rely on is dead.
We have come to expect the United States of America, the policeman of the world, to push non-conforming state players back into line. With heavy sanctions restricting access to the SWIFT financial system, we’re used to that being enough. Not so anymore.
In the past, state players like Iraq and Lybia, when they tried to bypass the US dollar, were quickly brought back into the fold, abiding by the Bretton Woods Agreement. It meant complete and utter devastation and leadership change for them and the status quo being maintained for the West.
The West has declined in strength to such an extent that its economic, political and military power are scoffed at by emerging super powers China and Russia. The West has lost it’s luster to such an extent that most of the East refuses to head it’s declarations and warnings.
Russia has bypassed the SWIFT system dealing directly with China. India and Saudi Arabia have both ignored directives from the West and dealt directly with Russia.
The West is left with one option, direct confrontation. Unfortunately, either way, it ends badly for the West and signifies something far, far worse than we ever thought possible in our lifetime.
We now face a conflict with the East. As much as the media would like to talk about a potential conflict as a foregone conclusion, we have to face reality. The West has not had a decisive victory in many decades. Sure, you could say the Iraq war with it’s “shock and awe” certainly established their authority in world, but a little country like Iraq was never going to be a match for the US. China, Russia, Iran they are a completely different story and one where clechè’s will not suffice.
Before all this gets out of hand, if you are thinking of leaving Australia, the United States of America or the United Kingdom, you have a limited opportunity to leave and get established elsewhere.
