I decided that for my first time in Morocco I should spend a weekend in Marrakech (also spelled Marrakesh). This wonderful getaway allowed me to tour Marrakech and find the best things to do, the most beautiful things to see and show you around a few hotels too.

Notes: To travel there I needed a double vaccine and a negative PCR test.
The local currency is Moroccan dirhams (divide by 10 to get the euro value).
No taxis have a meter so either negotiate a price before getting in or accept that you’ll get charged a few $ more because you’re a tourist (something I was ok with because taxis are cheap in general and because they haven’t worked much during COVID).
Service is exceptional everywhere you go – especially hotels and restaurants.
Languages spoken are French and Arabic and most people speak English too.
