In our previous video we compared regions of the world which have similar populations.
Some of these comparisons were seriously mind boggling, such as Uganda who have a GDP of around 46B USD having a similar population to that of the entirety of oceania, who’s economy size is closer to 2T USD.
In this video we will compare regions of the world, whether this is cities, countries or continents by their GDP or economy size.
For reference the entire global economy is estimated to be somewhere around the 90T USD mark, so that’s it all of current humanity combined together produces 90T dollars worth of goods and services.
Remarkably just 22 years prior to this video in the year 2000, the economy was estimated to be around 33T USD and in 1970, just 3T.
Now if humanity doesn’t wipe it self out, could we see a quadrillion dollar global economy by the year 2100?
