Singapore Changi Airport’s Jewel – Tour of Singapore Changi Airport’s Jewel | Tourism
The first thing that comes to mind when you think of Singapore is its airport. The Changi International Airport (CHI) is the largest airport in Southeast Asia and one of the world’s best airports.
The airport has two terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Passengers flying with airlines such as Cathay Pacific, Emirates, JAL, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas and Singapore Airlines can use both terminals. Passengers on other airlines will be required to check in at either Terminal 1 or Terminal 2.
Terminal 1 serves as a transit point for passengers who are connecting from another flight, while Terminal 2 is used for departing flights only.
There are four levels in Terminal 1: the first level houses gates A1-A4 and B1-B4; the second level houses gates C1-C4; the third level houses gates D1-D5; and the fourth level houses gates E1-E5. A shuttle bus connects these levels with each other, but it can get crowded especially during peak hours so it’s best if you walk between them yourself instead of taking it all the time.
