For years Singapore has been one of those cities where we have transited to on the way to somewhere else. Aside from the occasional short stop over from time to time, this was our first purpose trip to Singapore, made possible most recently with the relaxing of the international borders between Singapore and Australia in early 2022.
Coming out of the pandemic, Singapore was seen as a safe option and after a two year travel hiatus we were like first time travelers all over again, eager to make up for lost time.
On this trip, Sebastian and I spend one week in Singapore, the Lion City, staying centrally in the Grand Park City Hall located to the side of Fort Canning Park, just north of Boat Quay. This location was perfect for us to enjoy the city and its surrounds.
Our itinerary on this trip included:
Day 1 – Boat Quay, Fullarton Bay Hotel, Clifford Pier, Marina Bay
Day 2 – Rumors Beach Bar: Sentosa Island, Newton Hawker Markets
Day 3 – Singapore Botanic Garden, Red Dot Brewhouse, Orchard Road
Day 4 – Tanjong Beach Bar: Sentosa Island (not featured in vlog). *This was our rest day, no filming
Day 5 – Arts Precinct, Asian Civilization Museum, Little India
Day 6 – Sultan Mosque
