Myanmar is a sovereign state in Southeast Asia, officially known as the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and formerly known as Burma. Myanmar is bounded on the west by India and Bangladesh, on the east by Thailand and Laos, and on the north and northeast by the People’s Republic of China. I was in Myanmar for seven days to learn about different cultures and traditions, as well as to see some of the country’s most important sites.
The voyage begins in Yangon and continues by bus to Inle Lake in the state of Shan, by bus to Bagan, then by aircraft back to Yangon.
