Although we we’re cautious not to travel north too fast after the unseasonal cold weather in the north of Spain we were delighted to find some summer vibes in Bayonne, France! We were almost brave enough for a quick dip, even though the Atlantic water comes with a side of frost-bite! 😋
A couple of days travel towards Bordeaux gave us an opportunity to find some quiet spots along the way with the lake of Gastes being a real surprise. If the weather was a tad hotter we might have been very tempted to hang around longer to enjoy the water. Alas, summer is coming and we have to keep heading north to enter Scandinavia during early June and we still have some stops planned along the way!
