If cities have 4K HD Tours, why not beautiful, special buildings and spaces!?
We will start with Designer Capsule Hotels in Tokyo.

FIRST CABIN

I have been to many capsule hotels and the accommodation in First Cabin takes this concept to another level by bringing comfort to its guests. Capsule cabins in general just provide enough space for sleeping. You have to crawl in to the tube to get in to sleep. In First Cabin, most capsules are “almost” a room, allowing you to stand within the small space. They even provide a table and some amenities their guest can use. The concept was inspired by the first and business classes of a flight as an upgraded experience from the economy type. We can say, this is an upgrade from the traditional capsule room. Each cabin felt like you are in a fuselage of a plane, the room-shell is made of a plastic-like material with built-in electronic features.

Take a tour of First Cabin Hotel in Nihonbashi Yokoyamacho. There are several branches of this chain around Tokyo, each one has their own theme of lobbies but the cabin sections are a standard for their brand.

Japanese capsule Hotels are cheap accommodation options primarily catering to Japanese commuters who miss the last subway train to their home. There is a LOT of capsule hotels all over Tokyo (Japan, in general) but there is a few that caught my attention when it comes to design quality – offering a fresh new environment with impeccable details, a well-curated and branded experience, and a consistent theme all throughout.

ARCHI Lab Travels….life. Haha. Yes, when I travel I take photos and details of buildings and objects..instead of myself haha. Simply because, travelling is part of our archilablife.

If you are curious to see architecture, design, and details of a well-designed environment and objects, here is one of the immersive HD Tour videos (I plan to upload the designer-capsule as a series) I hope you can enjoy and Archilablife followers can learn from.
