We celebrated our two-year anniversary in Southeast Asia: Thailand and Cambodia. We toured the magical temples of Bangkok (Wat Arun and The Grand Palace). Then we retreated to the northern mountains of Chiang Rai where we met Karen people (“long neck tribe”), ate insects at the night bizarre and visited a few bucket list temples (White Temple and Blue Temple). From there, a jumper flight to Phuket and boat ride to Ko Yao Noi where we lived in a South African Safari tent, tuk tuk ‘ed around the island and cruised long tail boats through Phang Nga Bay. To top off the vacation, we popped over to southern Cambodia to live in the lap of private island luxury of Song Saa. We got a taste of jungle and overwater living, dined romantically in secret locations and got to know the local community of Koh Rong. Southeast Asia: you are the most beautiful place in the world.
