Air Greenland is the flag carrier airline of Greenland owned by the Greenlandic Government. The airline is over 60 years old and currently has a fleet of 32 aircraft including a single A330 used for transatlantic and United States military charter flights. Kangerlussuaq is home to just 508 people, but it acts as a feeder airport to smaller towns that don’t have long runways. Flights to heliports in the remote settlements are operated on contract with the government of Greenland.

The airline is a unique way to visit the Arctic, and if you’re looking for an adventure I highly suggest traveling North instead of South on your next vacation.
