Here I am taking a walk around Berlin Friedrichshain Kreuzberg district on a summer night to show you the calm nightlife and dark streets of the famous area located in the heart of Berlin in Germany. Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg is the second borough of Berlin, formed in 2001 by merging the former East Berlin borough of Friedrichshain and the former West Berlin borough of Kreuzberg. The historic Oberbaum Bridge, formerly a Berlin border crossing for pedestrians, links both districts across the river Spree as the new borough’s landmark.The centrally located Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg is considered creative and is internationally known for its diverse night and cultural life. Friedrichshain is a boiling point of Berlin’s nightlife – also because the district has retained a piece of its old soul despite gentrification. Currently, the Edge East Side, better known as the Amazon Tower, the development of the RAW site, the Ostkreuz Campus and the planned 17th construction phase of the A 100 are announcing massive changes and displacement. With 3.9 Million inhabitants Berlin is the most populous city of the European Union.
