UAE travelers need to wait 3 months to get a Europe visa, Europe’s searing heat wave isn’t the only factor affecting travel from the UAE – just trying to get a Schengen visa could now take as long as three months, forcing holidaymakers to head for other destinations.
In 2022 we’ve seen a great revival quarter one was a little slow but quarter two picked up really well and by the end of quarter three we estimate at least 85 percent of our 2019 application counts coming back we see Europe as a key destination for people turkey Canada the UK um almost all of it westbound to get an appointment there could be a long waiting time but the Schengen countries allow you to make an application up to six months in advance so while you are in peak season it’s always advisable for people to book their appointments well in advance and to plan themselves so VFS global on its website gives you all the checklist and the details that you need to book an appointment well in advance it takes roughly three weeks for a Schengen visa to be processed and different embassies will take a different varying number of days to do it within that depending on the individual application and its travel history ETC the appointments are all booked up see there’s a lot of people wanting to travel and what I noticed is from 2021 when we had a revival people aren’t really necessarily traveling only in summer people are actually booking themselves to travel all throughout the year so what we were noticing earlier in the years gone by was a clear peak and trough when it came to summer and you know holiday season ETC but now people are sort of willing to travel almost throughout the year so yes there could be some countries which are so fully booked up that you could get an appointment as late as September there is a great pent-up demand and there is an increased number of people who want to take probably even more than one holiday in a year so yes there is a demand and uh you know post-pandemic earlier I used to use the word revenge tourism and I think it still holds good, I think it will hold good for the latter half of this.
