Dannok is on the border of Malaysia in Songkhla province, southern Thailand. The capital of the district is also called Sadao town. This small town is the major border crossing between Thailand and Malaysia. It used to be the busiest land border crossing between Thailand and Malaysia before the Covid-19 pandemic.
If you want to go to Danok in the next two to three months, I don’t think now is the time. Almost every shop and restaurant was closed down. The nightlife is still bearable, with more and more venues opening by August.
As there aren’t many visitors yet, hotel prices are relatively cheap. Not only can you search and compare hotel prices in Southeast Asia, but you can also check hotel rates all over the world here: https://www.travelceto.com/flight/
