We visited both Venice and Verona, Italy? | Why you should visit both as well!

Hi Everyone and welcome to Venice & Verona, Italy. In this episode we visit both cities over a long weekend. What an experience. If we had to choose Venice or Verona it would be a tough decision for sure as both offer so many great things and although similar in some ways they are different in others. Hope you enjoy our look at all the top spots to visit in both Venice & Verona.

Our day in Venice was spend walking the canal’s, shopping, eating excellent food, and drinking even better wine. And hey we even got lost in Venice. No joke. There are so many canal’s and alley ways that it’s impossible not too. Luckily my sister was there and was our tour guide. As you may know if you have been following our Italian adventure my sister lives in Italy and was our free tour guide which was great. She made sure we didn’t miss any of the best stops and sights to see in Venice. Of course we took a ride on the gondola. That was just a awesome as we thought it would be. We ended the night with an unbelievable sunset. It really was the perfect day in Venice.

The next day we drove to Verona. Unlike Venice we didn’t know exactly what to expect as we hadn’t done much research. Boy we’re we surprised and boy did we love our time in Verona. I can say this we didn’t get enough time in either place. If we could do it all over again we would have spent at least 2 days in both Venice and Verona. Like many other cities in Italy there is so much history in Verona. Getting a chance to walk into the arena was definitely a highlight. Like Venice there are so many restaurants, shopping, and great places to drink wine if that is your thing. We had a chance to tour the balcony that inspired Shakespeare to write Romeo & Juliet. That was really cool. To end the night we got to see a live orchestra play just outside the arena with the arena lit up as a back drop. What a way to end the night.
