Warning for Damaging Winds Cape Columbine and Plettenberg Bay, spreading to Algoa Bay by Friday evening and reaching East London into Saturday. A tight pressure gradient between the passing cold front and the ridging high-pressure system is expected to result in strong winds of 50 to 70km/h, and very rough seas of 4 to 6m along the, from overnight Friday, spreading to Coffee Bay on Saturday morning. Possible wind 𝐆𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐒 of more than 90km/h, mainly early on Saturday morning, could lead to considerable 𝐃𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐒 along the south coast, including over Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha
The damaging waves are expected to result in small harbours and ports, localised disruptions to beachfront activities, and difficulty navigating small vessels in steep waves (Credit Vox Weather).
