This is video is part of our vacation time in Portugal, we stayed close to Cascais and went there for sightseeing, to the beach and to have lunch.
Here are some of the places you will find in this video:
* Valbom – a shopping street close paralel to the Rua Direira (Frederico Arouca) where you can find Santinni icecream, Hot Dogs and great Croissants
* Visconde da Luz Garden
* Rua Direita or Frederico Arouca street – the main street in Cascais, with stores and restaurants, it is mostly crowded with Indian restaurants and souvenirs stores but you can still find places like Toranja for different type of gifting and Pop Sandwich that is great option to take to the beach
* Largo Luís de Camões – a very lively and busy square that is packed with restaurants
* Ribeira Beach – this is the beach that is more close to center, we usually avoid this one as it is still very much used by the fisherman and it is not the cleanest option
* 5 of October Square (Praça 5 de Outubro) – this lovely square is home to the Town Hall building
* Cidadela – the village’s fort that has been renovated and now holds an hotel and restaurant, its garden is also a museum with several sculptures
* St Marta Lighthouse – beautiful place with the lighthouse and a bay where you can find many take dives when the sea goes up
* Cultural Center
* Sommer House
* Casa de Histórias de Paula Rêgo
* Marechal Carmona Park – a great park to take a stroll, also has playgrounds for children
* Moitas Beach
* Duquesa Beach
* N.S. da Conceição Beach
* Guincho Beach
* Cabo da Roca – the most western point of continental Europe, you can go to see the sunset (although it will be crowded in the summer and also can be a little chilly)
