Jordy Comes Alive is an East Village, New York City ex-pat currently living and causing mischief in Ho Chi Minh City – Saigon, Vietnam! For the past 4 and a half years he’s been on a quest searching Southeast Asia for self-discovery, the strange, the delicious, and the divine. Come follow his Vlog adventures of Pagodas, pedicures, tattoos & funky foods! He is currently writing street food reviews for the Tuoi Tre News in Vietnam.
Jordy has obsessively been documenting his life and the people, places, and life events from his past 5 years of traveling. While living in Vietnam for the past 3 + years he’s been hunting out exotic locations and unique scenarios. He’s wandered through The Wats of Cambodia, Thailand’s red light districts, Hell Gardens and floating markets, the Vùng Tàu whale Temples, swimming with pigs and bathing with elephants in Bang Tao, the Karen Long Neck Tribe in the mountains of Chang Tai and throughout monasteries in Shanghai China Jordy. He’s passionate about exploring environments and meeting the characters associated with the Territory. Jordy documented it all.
In 2018, after living in New York City’s legendary East Village for 30 years Jordy decided it was time to explore the world and left on a quest in search of personal liberation and to learn about other cultures through complete immersion. He first relocated to Bang Tao, Thailand where he began documenting his mischievous adventures that gave birth to his YouTube channel “Jordy Comes Alive”. He returned to Portland, Oregon for a year finding himself in the legal cannabis trade before selling all his worldly possessions and returning to S.E. Asia where he plans to live out the duration of his life. He spent one insane year in Phnom Penh, Cambodia before taking up residency in Saigon, Vietnam.
Author, producer and live streamer, Jordy is able to leave his impression upon any audience before him. Known for his fearless and quirky contribution to culture via writing, live streaming, YouTube and his defunct label Gammon Records.
While living in Vietnam for the past 3 + years he’s been a contracted live streamer and host of his own daily show “Jordy Comes Alive”. Jordy uses the streaming medium to create a special bond with his viewers. He not only includes them in his travels but shares his life trials and tribulations as an expat. He does this with raw honesty, manic behavior and breathtaking visuals of the world he wanders through. He puts forth an old school gonzo vibe and prides himself going where other streamers fear to stream.
Jordy has been written about in a variety of publications including The New York Times, Time Out, Thrillist, The Village Voice, AM New York, Billboard, Spin and Adult Video News. He’s made appearance in movies and TV including Oddities, House Hunters International, Freaks In Love, Fox 5 News, Slurp & Destroy and Al Goldstein’s Midnight Blue.
