Today we’re exploring Budapest on a budget by checking out what to do in Budapest for cheap!
This is our first Budapest vlog since we weren’t able to explore Budapest back in February, but it was definitely worth the wait! We normally explore cities & make vlogs, but we wanted to do something a bit differently with this one. We decided on exploring Budapest like we normally do, but instead we would explore Budapest & what to do in Budapest for less than $50 TOTAL, for BOTH of us! Budapest is definitely budget-friendly compared to Western Europe, but it’s definitely more expensive than the last few countries we’ve been. 3. See the Parliament Building & Shoes On the Danube Bank (free)
4. Take A Danube River cruise for CHEAP! (Take city commuter ferry from Margaret Bridge to Liberty Bridge; 1,000 HUF/$2.50 each)
5. Get lunch at Central Market Hall (cheap pastry or something; under 2000 HUF/$5 total for both)
6. Cross over Elisabeth Bridge to the Buda side (free)
7. Take the funicular up to Buda Castle (Funicular: 3,000 HUF/$7.42 each; only walk the grounds/courtyards)
8. See the views from Fisherman’s Bastion & Matthias Church (free; mention chain bridge being closed for restoration)
9. Dinner at Drum Cafe (3,490 HUF/$8.55 each)
10. Visit a ruin bar for a beer (Szimpla Kert; beers for 2200 HUF/$5.44 total for both)
