HOI AN
Hoi An is an old town located in Quang Nam Province in central Vietnam. A major trading port in Southeast Asia from the 15th to 19th centuries, Hoi An was one of the most important trading ports for Chinese, Japanese, Dutch and Indian merchants. Many of the buildings in the old town reflect a blend of Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese influences. The town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1999.
