Our time in Grindelwald has come to an end. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay having seen some of the best local attractions! We visited the summit of Schilthorn, taking a series of cable cars climbing to 2970 meters for incredible panoramic views. We braved the Trill walk at Birg and had a look at the village of Murren, before descending to the Lauterbrunnen valley floor and taking a close look at Trummelbach and Shtaubach waterfalls. We then made our way to Wilderswil, where we took the Schynige Platte railway to the top of the mountain climbing to 1967 meters, to the starting point of a 20km scenic mountain hike From Schynige Platte to First via Faulhorn and the beautiful lake Bachalp, before taking a cable car back down to Grindelwald.
It is time to say goodbye to Grindelwald and head back to the city of Basel, making a quick stop at Interlaken and the city of Bern! In Bern, we will take a look at the historic old town, 16th century water fountains, and Federal Palace.
