Come with us when we visit the Witta Recycle Markets which is a large second-hand (junk) shed located in the local Resource Recovery Centre and set in the sub-tropical bush. We can’t believe the huge assortment of recycled items, all neatly organised and the prices are so low! There’s everything from surfboards to tools, pianos and antiques, books and bikes, furniture and toys, gardening equipment and ornaments. The markets are operated by local not-for-profit organisations with proceeds from sales going back into local communities.
Next stop…coffee & delicious homemade cake at Witta’s newest cafe…’Nest in Witta’.
On our way home, we stop to watch the talented motorcyclists at the ‘Conondale Classic’ Vintage Dirt Bike Riding…..

Hi, we’re Beth & Paul from Brisbane, Australia and we love to travel!
Paul retired on 28th February 2020 and on the 1st March 2020, we set out on a 6-month adventure around South East Asia. This was a well-planned once-in-a-lifetime travel experience! It was our intention to show you how you can have a great time travelling without spending a fortune.
Our timing wasn’t great – with the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus and subsequent global turmoil less than a month into our trip.
Until it is safe to travel internationally again, we turn our focus on travelling around Queensland and sharing everything our beautiful State has to offer!
