A Japanese Thrillseeking Adventure – October 2019
Hello everyone, after delays getting this video up due to several commitments, it is now here! This is my dream project that I have been planning all year long in conjunction with my 2-weeks long vacation to Japan as a celebration of completing the halfway mark of my army service!
This video style is based off on this song (Today is a Diamond from Yakuza 6: The Song of Life) I listened to while I was editing my Tokyo Vacation video last year and it got me that I was inspired to use it for my next travel video, even as far as listening to it on repeat on my phone on my commutes! The song is so optimistic and upbeat that it fits an adventurous video like what I am doing now! Today is a Diamond is the best Japanese song I am a big fan of now!
So I choose to do the video in the style of a “road movie” where things appear chronological and are edited not based on the itinerary but on the style of the track. I choose to put in a vintage theme inspired by a photo slideshow template I found for free at RocketStock.com. This style goes into my concept of sharing one’s youthful days through a vintage lens. The middle part is the best component of this video that I keep picturing it in my mind days on end!
