Getting to Everest did not go to plan! This adventure had many highs and lows and we’d love you to experience them with us. From meeting amazing people who helped us out to catching a teeny tiny plane to a hair raising jeep journey and a gruelling walk that took everything out of Iz and to an upsetting end to the journey for Tom – this trip was truly unexpected!

If you’re new here – welcome and so we’re happy to have ya here!! We are Lost In Transit aka Tom and Iz – we normally live in a Ford Transit Van and travel around Europe. We recently left our van in a Romanian airport car park and spontaneously booked flights to Nepal to backpack for a while! Who are we? 💁🏼♀️
We’re Tom and Iz, a young couple from Cornwall, the UK, who live and travel full time in our van La Bamba. We decided to take a break from the van for a while and go backpacking! We love nature and try to spend as much time as possible wild swimming, hiking and being outdoors! 10 years ago we had a whirlwind summer romance, then went our separate ways to travel and go to university and fast forward 4 years later, we found ourselves back in the same place at the same time as each other and the rest is history.
